VFM displays available IP addresses or interfaces automatically when you enter an IP address

or interface name string. EVI uses the specified address or the primary IP address of the
specified source interface as the source IP address of tunneled packets on the transport

network.

Click OK.

Specify an ENDP role for each EVI service:

a.

Select one or two devices from the Edge Device List.
An EVI network can have up to two ENDSs. The operation will fail if you specify more than
two ENDSs.

Click Set as ENDS to specify the devices as ENDSs.

Select the remaining devices, and click Set as ENDC.

Configure flooding settings:

a.

Select one or two devices from the Edge Device List.

b.

Click Configure Flooding and select an option:

Select Enable EVI Flooding to enable EVI flooding.

Select Disable EVI Flooding to disable EVI flooding.

Select Enable ARP Flood Suppression to enable ARP flooding suppression.

Select Disable ARP Flood Suppression to disable ARP flooding suppression.

Configuring EVI service settings

In the EVI Service Settings area, specify the following parameters:

EVI Service Name—Enter a unique name for the EVI service.

Network ID—Enter a unique EVI network ID.

Extended VLANs—Enter a comma-separated list of VLAN items. One item is a VLAN ID or a
hyphenated VLAN ID range. Value range for VLAN IDs is 1 to 4094. For example,

1-10,50-100,500-4094.

Audit Interval (Hours)—Enter the interval for VFM to test EVI link connectivity automatically over
the transport network.

Description—Enter an EVI service description for management purposes.

Enabling immediate EVI service deployment

To deploy the EVI service immediately after it is added, select Deploy Now.
Alternatively, you may choose to bulk deploy EVI services later, as described in "

Deploying EVI

services

."

Completing the EVI service configuration

After you finish the previous EVI configuration tasks, click OK at the bottom of the Add EVI Service page

to complete the configuration.
