To enable or disable a single VFC interface:

1.

In the VFC interface list, click the

link for the VFC interface.

2.

Select Enable Port or Disable Port in the menu that appears.
The Enable Port option appears for disabled interfaces. The Disable Port option appears for
enabled interfaces.

To enable or disable VFC interfaces in batch:

1.

In the VFC interface list, select one or more VFC interfaces, and click State Setting.

2.

Select Enable Port or Disable Port in the menu that appears.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

3.

Click OK.

Batch configuring the administrative status and mode of VFC interfaces

The administrative status of a VFC interface is configured by the operator.

When the administrative status of a VFC interface is disabled, the operational status of the VFC

interface is disabled.

When the administrative status of a VFC interface is enabled, the operational status of the VFC
interface is up or down, depending on the link status.

The administrative mode of a VFC interface is configured by the operator.

For a VFC interface on an FCF switch:

{

Configure the F mode for the VFC interface if it connects to a server, storage device, or NPV
switch.

{

Configure the E mode for the VFC interface if it connects to another FCF switch.

For a VFC interface on an NPV switch:

{

Configure the F mode for the VFC interface if it connects to a server or storage device.

{

Configure the NP mode for the VFC interface if it connects to an FCF switch.

NOTE:

In VFM, VFC interfaces cannot be configured to operate in Auto mode.

To batch configure the administrative status and mode of VFC interfaces:

1.

In the VFC interface list, select one or more VFC interfaces, and click Batch Configure.

2.

Configure the following parameters:

Administrative Status—Select Up or Down.

{

Administrative Mode—Select E, F, or NP.

3.

Click OK.

Managing VSANs of a VFC interface

Perform this task to view and configure the VSANs allowed on a VFC interface.
To ensure data accuracy, synchronize the VFC interface before performing this task.
To manage the VSANs allowed on a VFC interface,

1.

In the VFC interface list, click the VSAN ID or None link for the VFC interface to enter the VSAN
list of the VFC interface.

2.

To query VSANs:
