Deploying global DCBX parameters to FCoE switches

If the operator has configured global DCBX parameters separately for an FCoE switch, the configured

global DCBX parameters are deployed.
If the operator has not configured global DCBX parameters separately for an FCoE switch, the default

global DCBX parameters are deployed.
To deploy global DCBX parameters to FCoE switches:

1.

In the FCoE switch list, select one or more switches.

2.

Click Configure DCBX.

3.

Select Deploy DCBX from the menu that appears.

After global DCBX parameters are deployed, VFM automatically synchronizes the FCoE switches.
After synchronization, the DCBX column for the switch displays

. This indicates that global DCBX

parameters have been deployed and they are consistent in VFM and on the switch.

Undeploying global DCBX parameters from FCoE switches

Perform this task to undeploy the global DCBX parameters that have been deployed to FCoE switches.
To undeploy global DCBX parameters from FCoE switches:

1.

In the FCoE switch list, select one or more switches.

2.

Click Configure DCBX.

3.

Select Undeploy DCBX from the menu that appears.

After global DCBX parameters are undeployed, VFM automatically synchronizes the FCoE switches.

After synchronization, the DCBX column for the switch displays

, indicating that global DCBX

parameters are not deployed and they are inconsistent on the switch and in VFM.

Viewing CEE interfaces

{

State Setting—This button contains two options: Enable Port and Disable Port, which can be
used to enable and disable a CEE interface, respectively.

{

Configure DCBX—This button contains two options: Deploy DCBX and Undeploy DCBX. The
Deploy DCBX option allows you to deploy interface DCBX parameters in VFM to CEE

interfaces (see "

Deploying DCBX parameters to CEE interfaces

"). The Undeploy DCBX option

allows you to undeploy the DCBX parameters that have been deployed to CEE interfaces (see

"

Undeploying DCBX parameters from CEE interfaces

").

NOTE:

DCBX parameters in VFM include global DCBX parameters and interface DCBX parameters.
Global DCBX parameters take effect on a switch globally, and interface DCBX parameters take

effect on a specific interface.
