Frequency-Shift Keying (FSK) Commands

FSK Overview

The following is an overview of the steps required to generate an
FSK modulated waveform.

Enable FSK

Modulation

Configure Carrier

Select FSK Source

Select FSK HOP

Frequency

Set FSK Rate

1. Turn on FSK modulation using the

SOURce[1]: FSK:STAT ON command.

2. Use the APPLy command to select a carrier

waveform. Alternatively, the FUNC, FREQ,
AMPL, and DCO commands can be used to
create a carrier waveform with a designated
frequency, amplitude and offset. The carrier
waveform can be sine, square or ramp.

3. Select an internal or external modulation

source using the SOURce[1]:FSK:SOUR
command.

4. Set the hop frequency using the

SOURce[1]:FSK:FREQ command.

5. Use the SOURce[1]: FSK:INT:RATE

command to set the FSK rate. The FSK rate
can only be set for internal sources.

Description

Turns FSK Modulation on or off. By default FSK
modulation is off.

Note

As only one mode is allowed at any one time,
other modes (AM, FM, Sweep etc.) will be disabled
when FSK modulation is enabled.

SOURce[1]:FSKey:STATe {OFF|ON}
