Click on the ControLinX in the MediaLinX MLA4000 you want to edit in the project.The IR/RS232 Settings
tab for the ControLinX using the General Purpose Driver/IR displays in the right side of the window (see
Figure 5-37). This connection is for an IR device or subsystem.

The IR/RS232 Settings tab allows you to configure settings for the external system. Consult the manual of the
interfaced system for the appropriate settings.

NOTE:

When the General Purpose Driver/IR is used, there are no communications settings to define. The remote
control for the device is required to learn the IR commands. See IR Tools on page 7-1.

Table 5-27 provides information on the fields available for editing the IR/RS232 Settings tab.

After adjusting information, select Apply.

Select the Labels tab.

The Labels tab for the ControLinX using the General Purpose Driver displays in the right side of the window
(see Figure 5-38).

Service Name

A display field used to denote the stream name.

Driver

The driver used for the device connected to the ControLinX.

Control Type

For the Generic Driver these settings are dependent on the
device being hosted by the ControLinX100.
