Patient Testing
The VerifyNow System has been developed to provide a simple, accurate and reliable means to
measure platelet function from a patient’s blood sample. This section provides instructions on
performing the test procedure. The test procedure includes patient preparation, sample collection,
sample handling, preparing the instrument for use and running a test.
6.1
Patient Preparation
Laboratory testing was performed to determine the effects of several classes of drugs on VerifyNow
Aspirin,
PRUTest, and IIb/IIIa results. In addition, laboratory and clinical testing were performed to
assess the effect of the levels of several blood constituents.
