4.1 Operating environment
Do not install the S2T in the following locations :
(1) Where the ambient temperature drops below OX (32^^^ ^;eeds 55°C
(131°F)
(2) Where the relative humidity drops below 5% or exceeds 90%
(3) Where there is condensation due to sudden temperature changes
(4) Where there are vibrations that exceed the tolerance of the S2T
(5) Where there are shocks that exceed the tolerance of the S2T
(6) Where there are corrosive or inflammable gasses (The installation location
should be below O.OSppm of sulfurous acid gas, below 0.01 ppm of hydrogen
sulfide.)
(7) Where there are dust, machining debris or other particles
(8) In locations exposed to direct sunlight
Observe the following precautions when installing enclosures for mounting the S2T :

Provide the maximum possible distance between high-voltage or high-power
panels. This distance must be at least 200mm SIN).
If the enclosures are installed near high-frequency equipment, be sure to
ground the enclosures correctly.
(3) When sharing the channel base with other panels, check for leakage currents
from the other panels or equipment.
A CAUTION
1. Excess temperature, humidity, vibration, shocks, or dusty and corrosive gas environment
can cause electrical shock, fire or malfunction. Install and use the S2T and related equip­
ment in the environment described in this manual.
2. Improper installation directions or insufficient installation can cause Are or the units to drop.
Install the S2T and related equipment in accordance with the instructions
described in this manual.
