Displaying and maintaining RIP

Execute display commands in any view and execute reset commands in user view.

Task Command

Display RIP current status and configuration
information.

display rip [ process-id ]

Display active routes in RIP database.

display rip process-id database [ ip-address
{ mask-length | mask } ]

Display RIP interface information.

display rip process-id interface [ interface-type
interface-number
]

Display routing information about a specified RIP
process.

display rip process-id route [ ip-address { mask-length
| mask } [ verbose ] | peer ip-address | statistics ]

Reset a RIP process.

reset rip process-id process

Clear the statistics for a RIP process.

reset rip process-id statistics

Network requirements

As shown in

, enable RIPv2 on all interfaces on Switch A and Switch B. Configure Switch B to not

advertise route 10.2.1.0/24 to Switch A, and to accept only route 2.1.1.0/24 from Switch A.
