o Joint Stereo: similar to stereo, but some frequency ranges are coded as mono to
improve quality.

Audio Bit Rate (kb/s): this is a drop-down menu of available rates. The choices will
change between stereo and mono.
Audio Configuration Basic Tab – AAC
The AAC parameters are shown below.

Compression Type: Select the type of AAC encoding. The options are AAC-LC ,
HE-AAC V1 and HE-AAC V2 .

Mode: Select the number of channels. The options are Mono , Stereo , and 5.1
Surround . Note that, if Compression Type is set to HE-AAC V2 , this field becomes
fixed at Stereo . In Mono mode, only the left channel is encoded.

Audio Bit Rate (kb/s): Enter the desired bit rate. The encoder will not allow invalid bit
rates to be entered.
Audio Configuration Basic Tab – Dolby
The Dolby parameters are shown below:

Compression Type: Select between Dolby Digital (AC-3) and Dolby Digital Plus
(EAC-3) .

Mode: Select the number of channels. The options are Mono (1/0) , Stereo (2/0) , and 5.1
Surround (3/2) .

Audio Bit Rate (kb/s): This is a drop-down of the valid bit rates for the selected mode.
