CRC:

Enables/Disables CRC insertion in the audio elementary stream. This is normally

left disabled (CRC off).

Original/Copy:

Controls the state of the Original/Copy flag in the audio elementary

stream. This setting does not affect the actual audio encoding.

Audio Configuration Advanced Tab – Dolby

The Dolby advanced parameters for Mono (1/0) and Stereo (2/0) operation are shown below.

Dolby PMT Type:

this parameter controls how Dolby AC-3/EAC-3 audio is signaled in

the PMT. The two choices are:

o

DVB:

Dolby Audio is signaled as per ETSI TS 101 154 Appendix C (stream_type

0x06 with the AC-3 or EAC-3 Descriptor from EN 300 468 annex D).

o

ATSC:

Dolby Audio is signaled as per ATSC A/53 Part 3 (stream_type 0x81 for

AC-3 and 0x87 for EAC-3). However, the 9992-ENC is currently unable to
generate the ATSC AC-3 Descriptor; please contact Cobalt Digital if this is an
issue in your network.

Dialog Normalization (dB):

Enter the value to align the average loudness to provide a

consistent level. The default value for disc authoring or Internet is –31 dB and for
broadcasting –24 dB (ATSC), –23 dB (EBU).

Line DRC:

Select the DRC (Dynamic range control) from drop-down menu; options are

None, Film Standard, Film Light, Music Standard, Music Light,

or

Speech

RF DRC:

Select from drop-down menu; options are

Dolby Surround Mode:
