Replacing the Fusing Unit

CAUTION:
A
Push the brown fusing unit lock
levers.
B
Slide the fusing unit toward you
(
A A A A), and remove it from the print-
er (
B B B B) as shown in the illustra-
tion.
Note
❒ Be careful not to drop the fusing
unit.

Align the new fusing unit with
the mark on the printer (
A A A A), and
then slide it in (
B B B B) as shown in
the illustration.

Return the brown fusing unit
lock levers to their original posi-
tions.
E
Close the front cover.
• The fusing unit could be very hot.
When installing the new fusing
unit, turn off the printer and wait
about 30 minutes. After waiting,
install the new fusing unit. Not
waiting for the unit to cool down
can result in a burn.
