Configure SMTP Server
You may need to make changes to the system configuration, for example, to set up an email SMTP server for alarm and
report emailing. You must have the Edit System Config privilege, an Admin privilege, to edit the system configuration.
For details on other system configuration parameters, refer to the FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix software online help.
Follow these steps to configure the SMTP server for emailing alarms or reports.
1. Select Configuration on
the System tab.
2. Under Email SMTP Server
Configuration, edit the
parameters as appropriate.
3. Click Save.
Parameter Description
Email Server Name or IP Address Simple Mail Transport Protocol server name or IP
address. Contact your IT department for the correct
information.
Sender Email Address Does not have to be a real email address.
Send Test Email To Sends a test message to the email address entered in
the address field when the Send button is clicked.
