Select the NO button for the “Ready to Unload Priority Slides” prompt if the priority slides
should remain on the Dako Autostainer Plus. The original run will resume and be
completed.

Select the time display button (i.e., 0:09) to remove the priority slides from the Dako
Autostainer Plus.

NOTE: The time display button will count down and display the time remaining to remove
the priority slides. If the Priority Slides are not removed after 10 minutes, the original run
will continue and the Priority Slides will be idle rinsed.

2. The Warning “Slides may dry out while instrument is paused” dialog is displayed. Select

OK before removing slides from the instrument.

The “Print IHC report for unloaded slides” dialog is displayed. Select YES to print out the
IHC report. Select NO to continue without printing the IHC report.

3. The SLIDE LAYOUT MAP screen is displayed. The priority slides to be unloaded are

indicated by flashing.

4. After unloading the priority slides, select the NEXT button. The RUN LOG screen is

displayed and the original run continues and is completed.

Using the Priority Slide Handling without Slide Bar Coding

1. Start the staining run on the Dako Autostainer Plus. The RUN LOG screen is displayed.

The PRIORITY SLIDES button is not available.

NOTE: The Priority Slides feature is not available until the initial Pre-Rinse is complete.

2. After the Pre-Rinse is completed, the PRIORITY SLIDES button is available. Select the

PRIORITY SLIDES button. The NEW PROGRAM and REVIEW PROGRAM buttons are
not available after the PRIORITY SLIDES button has been selected.

NOTE: The PRIORITY SLIDES button changes to a time display countdown, which
represents the wait time before continuing.

3. When the wait time has expired, the “Ready for Priority Slides” dialog is displayed.

Select the time display button (i.e., 0:08) to add priority slides to the run.
