• “AUTO” is shown next to the map scale when automatic range scal-

ing has been selected (section 3.11.4.9).

• Added waypoints from the “nearest list” to the active flight plan way-

points on the NAV 4 (map) scan list (section 3.11.4.11).

• Rotatable aircraft symbol on map in place of diamond symbol for

North-up and DTK-up map orientations (section 3.11.4.8).

• ILS, LOC, LOC BC, LDA, and SDF approach frequencies added to

airport frequency page -APT 5 page (section 3.12.1.5).

• Combined Calculator (CAL) and Other (OTH) pages of KLN 89B

into Auxiliary (AUX) pages of KLN 94 (section 3.4.1)

• A full time display of cross-track error (example 2.3nm

) and CDI

scale ( 5.0, 1.0 or 0.3) has been added below the CDI on the NAV 1
page (section 3.11.1). On the KLN 89B there was a cyclic field and
only one of these parameters was displayed at a time.

• Removed all “cyclic” fields (those fields changed by CLR button).

These are replaced with just changeable fields using cursor and
small inner knob. Examples are the NAV 1 page (section 3.11.1)
and the FPL 0 page (section 4.2.5).

• Data loader jack built into front panel instead of having to mount in

instrument panel (section 2.4.1 and figure 3.1).

• Added most DMEs associated with ILS and LOC to the intersection

section of the database (section 6.2.13). Note: This has also been
added to the KLN 89B also.

• Added most terminal NDBs to the database. Note: These have also

been added to the KLN 89B.

• Aeronautical data downloaded from data card to internal memory

(section 3.2, item #10).

• A means to select what types of Special Use Airspace are used for

SUA Alerting and are displayed on the map (section 3.13).

• The format for the display of RAIM prediction was changed to a

graphical format (section 6.2.14).

Additional Operational Differences Incorporated In KLN 94 ORS 02 Units

• Enhanced waypoint scanning on the Nav 4 map page encircles the

waypoint whose identifier is contained in the waypoint scan field. In
addition, pressing the ENT button brings up the waypoint page for
the selected waypoint (section 3.11.4.11).
