CONNECTING YOUR FAX TO THE POWER OUTLET
Important
The machine must always be connected to the power
outlet before you connect it to a telephone line.
Similarly when moving the unit, the telephone line
should be disconnected before unplugging the power
cord. This is because the machine relies on the ground
from the plug to prevent any hazardous electrical condi
tions from developing on the telephone network.
This machine can be plugged into any standard grounded
power outlet. Make sure the socket is grounded and that the
machine is
not
on the same line as any large appliances
or
office machines such as refrigerators or photocopiers. The
power requirements for this fax machine can be found in the
Specifications
section on page 8-1.
