Clearing a Media Jam

1. Open the media cover.

2. Cut off the jammed media from the media roll.

3.

Open the clamshell

to its highest position.

4. Remove the jammed media from inside the printer.

5. Clean any label debris from the sensors and print zone. See

Cleaning the Sensors

on

page 54.

6.

Close the clamshell

and top cover.

7. Reload the media.

Clearing Clogged Ink Nozzles

Long stripes of missing print or vertical light streaks on several labels may be an
indication of clogged ink nozzles. Follow the procedure below to clear the ink nozzles.

After each step, print and check the print quality. Proceed to the next step only if the
problem persists.

1.

Open the clamshell

and inspect the print zone (the area below the clamshell as

shown in

Figure 9

). Vacuum any dust or debris from the area.

NOTE: Do NOT clean the printhead at this point.
