Importing and Exporting

Import Data File

This is a sample of the ‘Mapping’ page of the import sequence:

This example shows the ‘Run’ page for importing to a virtual level.

This page has 2 sections:

Run options.

Buttons.

Run Options

There are 3 choices for running an import:

Undo import on error(s).

This choice executes the import, but will “undo” the entire import if any error occurs.

Save import on errors(s).

This choice executes the import, and does not “undo” any part of the import if any error
occurs. The configuration is modified and retains the errors if any errors occurred.

Test

This choice processes the import is if it were executing, but does not apply any changes to
the configuration. It reports any errors that might occur.

Using this run option is a way to test whether the import will succeed before you actually
import any data.

Buttons

At the bottom of the page (and other pages in the export equence) are buttons that allow you
to move through the sequence of steps in device definition. This page has 4 buttons:

The buttons are grayed out (disabled) until they become applicable.
