Router Information
This section presents the name and protocol of the router:
You can edit the router’s name here but you cannot change the protocol in this section. For that
you must use the ‘Routers’ table under the ‘Views’ pane.
Control Point Information
This section presents the router’s control point(s):
it is here that you define the router’s control points.
A NVISION series router can always have two control cards for redundancy, but two control cards
are not required. Each control card requires a defined control point. The control point is the IP
address given to the control card. If your router has one control card, leave the secondary
control point field blank.
A router definition assigned a serial protocol such as ‘NV Serial-Public’ has only one control
point. Some other protocols have only one control point. If your router uses such a protocol, the
section will have only the primary control point field.
