P Mode

When the ISO speed is fixed, an exposure level mark based on
your specified value is shown on the exposure level indicator for
comparison to the standard exposure level. The exposure level
mark is shown as [ ] or [ ] when the difference from standard
exposure exceeds 3 stops.

The ISO speed is determined and screen brightness changes
when you press the shutter button halfway after setting the ISO
speed to [AUTO]. If standard exposure cannot be obtained with
your specified shutter speed and aperture value, the ISO speed is
displayed in orange.

You can also adjust the setting items on the bottom of the screen
by touching an item to select it and then either touching/dragging
the bar or touching [ ][ ].

Set your preferred shutter speed, aperture value, exposure, and ISO

speed. For details on available shutter speeds, see “Shutter” (= 185).

Available aperture values vary by lens.

Enter [ ] mode.

Follow step 1 in “Shooting Movies in

Movie Mode” (= 59) and choose [ ].

Configure the setting.

Press the [ ] button to choose an item to

configure, and then turn the [

] dial to

set a value.

Some shutter speeds may cause flickering on the screen when
recording under fluorescent or LED lighting, which may be
recorded.

Large aperture values may delay or prevent accurate focusing.
