Raise the flash.

When shooting in [

mode, raise the built-in flash before shooting.

Turn the camera off and then on again.

An error occurred in lens operation.

Do not apply excessive force on the lens.

If you turn the camera off and then on again, lens operation will return to normal.

The camera is on but does not respond. (page 267)

If the error persists even after turning the camera off and then on again, contact your

retailer or Nikon-authorized service representative.

Speedlight setting error

A Speedlight function that cannot be used with the camera is set. Change the

Speedlight setting.

System error

An error occurred in the camera’s internal circuitry. Turn the camera off, remove and

reinsert the battery, and turn the camera on.

The camera is on but does not respond. (page 267)
