Seed Hawk™ Viper Pro™ Installation & Operation Manual

Swath Guidance

The swath guidance feature provides on screen guidance using a CDI (Course Direction Indicator) and on-

screen lightbar. The Viper console is capable of running several swathing patterns.

Section Control

The Seed Hawk Section Control (SCT) feature allows the Viper console to automatically turn the sections on or

off by referencing the coverage map. While Viper Pro creates the coverage map, the SCT system references

previously applied areas and the vehicle location to automatically turn sections off in turn as the implement

crosses over previously applied areas. As sections re-enter un-applied area, SCT turns the section back on.

SCT initially creates a 5 MB file with a .bct extension that contains detailed information about the section

coverage for a specific job. Viper Pro saves this file in the Coverage folder on the internal storage memory. If

the field exceeds the size of the original file, Viper will automatically increase the file size to cover the entire

field area.

See Chapter 7, Sectional Control Technology™ (SCT), for more information on using the SCT feature with the

Viper Pro console.

Product Chaining

The product chaining feature allows the operator to chain a group of product together. As the volume of product

remaining in the first bin falls below a programmed value, Viper Pro will automatically switch from the low bin to

the next available product in the chain sequence. This feature makes it possible to use multiple bins during an

application and reduce trips to a tender truck.
