Sectional Control

Technology™ (SCT)

The Seed Hawk Sectional Control Technology (SCT) system provides automatic section control and allows the

Viper Pro system to automatically control sections in reference to coverage or apply/no-apply zone maps. In

addition, field boundaries recorded with the SCT feature enabled will automatically set up a no-apply boundary

around the target area to help eliminate seeding or product application outside of targeted areas.

Depending upon desired operation, the SCT system is capable of automatically closing meter gates or control

valves for specific products and lift soil openers as the section crosses over previously seeded or applied

areas. As the section returns to an un-applied area, the SCT system opens the meter gates and lowers the soil

openers so that seed and product are being applied at target rates where it is needed.

This chapter contains information about setting up and using the SCT and SCT Ready systems with the Seed

Hawk Viper Pro console.Contact your local Seed Hawk dealer for more information

System Overview

The SCT system may be operated in two different modes:

SCT Ready systems

SCT systems

SCT Ready

As the entry level sectional control system, the SCT Ready is not capable of controlling air cart products or soil

openers by sections. The SCT Ready system applies products from the air cart product bins as a single

product across the drill width while the operator manually operates the soil openers via the tractor hydraulic

system.

The SCT Ready system is capable of controlling up to two additional liquid products in up to four sections

across the seed drill. The SCT Ready system controls these products in reference to the current coverage map

or a sectional control apply/no-apply map created on the Viper Pro.
