Deck lift shaft assembly removal/replacement
1. Remove the deck by following the steps described
at the beginning of this chapter.
2. Remove the fender by following the steps described
in Chapter 4: Body/Chassis.
3. Remove the hairpin clips that hold the top of the
deck lift cables and slide the cables out of the deck
lift shaft assembly. See Figure 8.34.
4. Unhook the lift assist spring (if equipped).
