Field Description

Session Status

State of the DVPN tunnel, which can be SUCCESS (tunnel established),
ESTABLISH (tunnel is being established), or DUMB (tunnel failed to be
established and is now quiet).

Holding time

Period of time that the tunnel keeps in the current state

Input

Statistics for received packets, including the counts of all packets, data packets,
control packets, multicast packets, and error packets.

Output

Statistics for sent packets, including the counts of all packets, data packets,
control packets, multicast packets, and error packets.

Full mesh DVPN configuration example

Network requirements

In the full mesh network shown in

Figure 328

, the main VAM server and the backup VAM server manage

and maintain information about the nodes. The RADIUS server (a CAMS or IMC server) performs VAM
client authentication and accounting. With each being the backup of the other, the two Hubs perform

data forwarding and routing information exchange.
Establish permanent tunnels between each Hub-Spoke pair.
Establish tunnels dynamically between the spokes in the same VPN, so the spokes exchange data

through the tunnels.
