Animating scene objects

Animation Editor toolbar

The Animation Editor toolbar contains buttons that allow you to add, remove, and order the
animations and their object properties in the Animation Tree.

The following table provides a functional description of each button in the Animation Editor toolbar:

New Animation

Creates a new animation into which objects and their properties can be added.

Insert KeyFrame

Inserts a keyframe in the selected channel at the selected frame in the
timeline. See

Remove KeyFrame

Removes the selected keyframe from the timeline. See

Delete

Deletes the selected items (animation, object, channel, keyframe) from the
animation tree and/or the timeline area.

Cut, Copy, Paste

Allows you to cut or copy and then paste a selected item in the Animation
Editor, whether it be an animation, an object channel, a property channel, or a
keyframe. These features provide a quick and easy way of reproducing or
moving items in the animation editor. See

Ordering

Allows you to reorder the items (animations, objects, properties) in the
animation tree.

OP

: Moves the selected item to the very top of the animation tree’s list.

U

P

: Moves the selected item up by one position in the animation tree’s list.

D

OWN

: Moves the selected item to the very bottom of the animation tree’s

list.

B

OTTOM

: Moves the selected item down by one position in the animation

tree’s list.

Zoom

Allows you to zoom out on the Animation Editor’s timeline. This function is
useful when you have created a lengthy animation and you would like to see
a larger portion of it on the timeline.

Select from the drop-down list one following settings:

100%

75%

50%

25%

12%
