: All graphics modes are printed in bi-directional mode.

UNI

: All graphics modes are printed in uni-directional mode. In order to obtain even

higher line-to-line column alignment, you may select uni-directional (UNI) graphics mode.

Go back to the top level of the menu with the

PRIOR

key and press the

↓ key to select the

next menu item (FORM THICKNESS displays).

Adjusting for the Thickness of Your Forms

You can select three mutually independent methods of making the adjustment for the
thickness (also known as the print head-to-paper gap) of the forms you plan to use.

FORM THICKNESS

To change the methods, press the

ENTER

key to go from the top level to the second level as

shown below:

Manual Gap Adjust

This method allows you to override the automatic and fixed gap adjust routines. When
enabled (Y) you must set the gap by means of the gap adjust wheel. This wheel is located
to the left of the ribbon cartridge. The marks of the wheel (1...2...3) correspond to the
number of parts in your form set.
