in this example, the cal bars are being measured for the very first time.

Therefore, all the readings are currently being stored

in column A bolt

numbers 1 &2.

Now that the probe zero cal bars have been measured and documented, it’s
finally time to calculate the zero value. The following section outlines the
procedures for the zero value calculation.

Calculating the Probe Zero Value

1) Press the

MENU key once to activate the menu items tab. Press the

MENU key multiple times to tab right, and the ESC key multiple times to

tab left, until the

CAL menu is highlighted and displaying the submenu

items.

2) Use the

UP and DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the sub menu

items until

MEASURE ZERO is highlighted.

3) Press the

ENTER key to display the new Two Point Zero List Box.

4) Use the

UP and DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the list menu items

until

CALC ZERO is highlighted.

5) Press the

ENTER key to calculate the probe zero. The probe zero delay

value is now displayed in the

Zero Value field.

This next section demonstrates how to go back and verify if the probe zero value
is still linear and “In Spec” at a later time. It’s important to note that user should
never have to change or re-calculate the probe zero value again, unless the
MINI-MAX, transducer, or cable has been replaced
