Section 8.4 Diagnostic Leds

The system 5000 card rack provides the following Led indicators:

POWER CONNECTOR MODULE

+24v

This indicates the status of the fused +24 volt power supply. It should normally be on
(Green) and if off typically indicates an external connection is shorted to ground. If the
supply does not return to +24 volt after any external short has been removed, the +24v
fuse could be blown or a fault could exist in the power supply.

C/B

This amber led turns on when channel A of the press control energizes the CH A clutch
brake dual air valve.

C/B

This amber led turns on when channel B of the press control energizes the CH B
clutch/brake dual air valve.

LMC

This indicates the status of the Link Master Control Relay. It should normally be on
(Green) and is turned off by the press control if a fault condition or a Master Stop Input
occurs.

LOGIC MODULE
The following status Leds are provided independently for both channel A and channel B of the press
control.

RESET

This Red indicator turns on for approximately 1/2 sec when the power to the card rack is
applied. It should never turn on during normal running conditions, and if it does indicates
a fault on the logic module.

+5V

This indicates the status of the internal +5 volt supply. It should normally be on (Green)
and if off indicates a fault in the system 5000 card rack.

R/D MODULE

+12

This indicates the status of the internal +12 volt power supply. It should normally be on
(Green) and if off indicates a fault in the system 5000 card rack, the resolver/encoder
assembly, or it's field connections.

-12

This indicates the status of the internal -12 volt supply. It should normally be on (Green)
and if off indicates a fault in the system 5000 card rack.
