The hydraulic pump output (OR-3) is turned On and the present running status will indicate the
status of the pressure switch until input #37 switches high.

The running status will display “Ready To Stroke” to indicate that the reset sequence is complete
and stroking may be resumed in any mode.

Hydraulic Overload Pump

Under normal operating conditions, the pump output is On and the proximity switch input is in the run
state (+24 volts). If the input opens (0 volts) a hydraulic overload fault is generated, and both outputs turn
Off. The press stops immediately if this occurs while running and displays that an overload is the reason
for the stop. The operator must then reset by following the steps described below:

Step
1.

Acknowledge the overload by pressing the RESET ERROR softkey.

2.

Switch to Inch Mode. The present running status will display “Run Only In Inch” and will prevent
stroke initiation until this is done.

3.

If necessary, switch the main motor to Reverse to “back off” the load (if the press is equipped for
this).

4.

Use the correct run buttons to Inch the press to the top of the stroke. The press control will
automatically stop the press inside the hydraulic overload reset area at the top of the stroke.

5.

The press control will inhibit further stroking at the top of the stroke and automatically reset the
hydraulic overload system by turning both outputs On. The present running status will indicate
the status of the proximity switch until input #36 switches high.

6.

The running status will display “Ready To Stroke” to indicate that the reset sequence is complete
and stroking may be resumed in any mode.

Under normal operating conditions, both outputs are On, the overload sensor input #36 is in the run state
(+24 volts) and key switch is in the Normal position (+24 volts). If input #36 opens (0 volts) a hydraulic
overload fault is generated, both outputs turn Off, and the hydraulic overload Tripped indicator will light.
The press stops immediately if this occurs while running and displays that the overload as the reason for
the stop. The operator must then reset by following the steps described below:

Step
1.

Place the Test-Normal-Reset key switch in the Reset position.
