5.2.2 System Information

Here you can view the system information and assign the system name and location to make

this switch identifiable on your network.

System Name: Assign the name of the switch. The maximum length is 64 bytes.

System Description: A read-only field displaying the description of the switch.

System Location: Assign the switch physical location. The maximum length is 64

bytes.

System Contact: Enter the name of contact person or department.

Firmware Version: Displays the switch’s firmware version.

Kernel Version: Displays the kernel software version.

MAC Address: Displays the unique hardware address assigned by manufacturer

(default).

Click Apply to have the configuration take effect.

Note:

Don’t set “0” for the first segment of the subnet mask and default gateway

(000.xxx.xxx.xxx).

Refresh the web screen if the web could not be displayed while you change the setting

5.2.3 IP Configuration

Due to the foreseeable address exhaustion of IPv4, the IP configuration of the Ethernet switch

is designed to provide an interface for users to configure the switch running both IPv4 and

IPv6 architecture.
