This chapter is an introduction to implementing systems that use the Z80 CPU. Figure 18
shows a simple Z80 system.
Minimum System Hardware
Any Z80 system must include the following hardware elements:
• 5 V power supply
• Oscillator
• Memory devices
• I/O circuits
• CPU

