Crosshair timeout delay

When the auto-enter crosshair probe is used, a point is automatically col-

lected by the system each time the stage is moved to position the part

under the crosshair. This automatic point entry is delayed until the stage

has been motionless for a short time to ensure that the crosshair is located

where the user intended. The default delay value will be adequate for

most applications, but can be increased to accommodate more relaxed

probing.

To specify Crosshair Timeout, touch the Crosshair Timeout data field and

enter the desired delay in seconds.

Crosshair delay restart distance

As explained above, automatic point entry is delayed until the stage has been motionless for a short time

to ensure that the crosshair is located where the user intended. However, the delay is restarted again from

the beginning if the stage is moved again before the delay has been completed. The move distance required

to restart the delay is specified by the user by entering it directly into the Crosshair

Distance data field in the current unit of measure.
