goes into alarm and which, when clicked, acknowledges the alarm. Two pushbuttons frequently used on
graphics are the Control pushbutton (see
Section 7.2, Control Through Graphics ) and the Display Vector
pushbutton (see Section 7.3, Display Vectoring ).
7.1.1 Accessing Graphic Displays
Graphic Displays can be accessed using either the keyboard or mouse. Using the keyboard, with an
Operator Window open and with keyboard focus, press
F1. A pop-up window will appear, which allows the
user to enter the index number of the desired graphic display.
Alternatively, the mouse can be used (instead of F1) to display this window. Again, an Operator Window
must be open. From the Operator Window menu bar, select the sequence Select > Graphic. A pop-up win-
dow will appear, which allows the user to enter the index number of the desired graphic display.
If the number of the desired Graphic is not known, or if you wish to first view a list of available Graphic Dis-
plays, click List on the window. The original window will be replaced by a new one titled Select Graphic
(
Figure 7-2 ), which contains a list box which lists the number and legend of each available Graphic Display.
Click the desired item in the list box to highlight it, then click OK to complete the selection operation, or
click Cancel to exit without selecting a Graphic. Other options on the Select Graphic window include the
Search button, which allows the user to search the list for a Graphic number, or an alphanumeric string
representing all or part of a Graphic legend; the Graphic with the specified number (entered in the Index
entry box) or the first entry encountered containing the specified string (entered in the title entry box) will be
placed at the top of the list. A Top button is also supplied; click this button to display the beginning of the
list in the list box.
After a graphic display has been selected, use
P AGE U P and P AGE D OWN keys to move between adjacent
Graphic displays.
