Performing an end-to-end test

After the source and destination endpoints are selected, the end-to-end topology is added to the Lync

topology. For more information about the Lync topology, see "

4 Managing the Lync topology

." An

end-to-end test is performed on the end-to-end topology.

Viewing the end-to-end topology

The end-to-end topology presents the network environment of the Lync endpoints.
To view the end-to-end topology:

1.

On the End-to-End Test page, access the Basic Information area.

2.

Click Test at the bottom of the Basic Information area.
The end-to-end topology window appears, as shown in

Figure 45

.

Performing an NQA operation

Perform this task to test and analyze the call quality of the network where the endpoints reside. The two

devices for an NQA operation must support the NQA protocol.
To perform an NQA operation:

1.

Access the end-to-end topology.

2.

Select two network devices and right-click either of the selected devices, as shown in

Figure 46
