K2 Summit Transmission models requirements and restrictions

MPEG-2 data rates above 50 Mbps not supported

DVCPRO HD, AVC-Intra, H.264, Avid DNxHD formats not supported

Transition effects not supported

AppCenter Elite not supported.

ChannelFlex Suite inputs and outputs are not supported.

Mobile environment not supported. The standard K2 Summit system random vibration
specifications do not apply to the K2 Summit Transmission Server models. Instead, random
vibration specifications for K2 Summit Transmission Server (internal storage) models are as
follows:

Storage Utility procedures for K2 Summit Transmission Server models

Storage Utility detects drive type/capacity and allows only those operations that are correct for the
drive type/capacity. If you need to bind the internal drives, RAID 1 is recommended. This is the
default configuration as received from the Grass Valley factory. However, Storage Utility allows
you to bind as RAID 0 if you so choose.
