Use this method to connect to the SNFS volume via CIFS. Once the Macintosh computer has been
bound to a domain it can then connect to any domain controlled, shared volume via SAMBA. If
connecting via SAMBA, XSan software does not need to be installed or configured.

1. On the Macintosh computer open the Finder program and at the top menu click

Go | Connect to

Server

.

The Connect to Server dialog box opens.

2. In the Server Address field, type

smb://

, then type the IP or DNS name of the server to which

you are connecting, slash, then type the volume name.
