3.1 Module Address
The 104S v2 gateway is identified at transport level (using the IP Address) and at
application level (using the Common ASDU Address).
3.1.1 IP Address
The 104S v2 gateway is identified by a unique IP address on the TCP/IP
network. You must edit the WATTCP.CFG configuration file (or use the
configuration tool) to enter a valid IP address. The following example lists the
default contents of the WATTCP.CFG file:
In this example, the 104S v2 gateway is identified by IP address 192.168.0.250
in the IEC-60870-5-104 network, with a netmask (subnet mask) of 255.255.255.0
and a default gateway address of 192.168.0.1.
Because there could be several devices in the same TCP/IP network, some
applications may require a connection control (from which IP addresses the
gateway may receive valid messages).
