6.7.3.6

Noise Check

With the noise check the photometric noise in the device is
checked.

This test can be used to test the noise at any wavelength during
use of a sample that corresponds to the absorbance level of this
wavelength.

1. Press Noise Check in the "Optical Checks" menu.

2. Press

λ to select the wavelength.

3. Enter the wavelength and press OK to confirm your

selection.

4. Press Zero.

30 zero measurements are performed and averaged.

5. Insert the analysis cell into the cell compartment.

6. Press Start.

100 measurements are performed, from which the mean
value and the standard deviation for the noise, the sample
and the reference are calculated.

Note: The user determines the test criteria for the passing or failing
of the noise check.

7. Press the PC & Printer icon to send data to the Printer.

8. Press Cancel to return to Optical Checks.

Drift Check

With the drift check the stability of the device is checked.

Note: The drift check lasts one hour.
