7. Connect the power cable to the instrument and connect any

other devices.

Change deuterium lamp (UV)

1. Remove the connector for the deuterium lamp from its

socket; to do this, press down the safety latch and pull the
connector toward the right (

2. Loosen the two attachment screws for the deuterium lamp

with a cross-head screwdriver (

Figure 8

step 2).

3. Use the cable to lift and remove the deuterium lamp from the

lamp compartment (

step 3). The entire unit

including cable and attachment screws is discarded.

Change deuterium lamp

To fit a new lamp carry out the procedure in reverse.

1. Hold the deuterium lamp by the cables and insert into the

lamp holder carefully from above.

2. Hand tighten the two attachment screws.

C A U T I O N

Burn hazard.
Wait until the lamp cools down. Contact with the hot lamp can cause
burns.

D A N G E R

Risk of electric shock
Disconnect the instrument from the power source before the lamp
replacement procedure is commenced and until the lamp replacement
procedure is complete.

N O T I C E

Only hold lamp at lamp holder. Avoid touching the glass, as
substances on the skin can bake onto the lamp bulb and thus
accelerate the ageing process of the lamp.
If the glass has been touched, clean with alcohol.
