BASIC OPERATION

When the controller is set up for on/off control, the manual output is a time
proportioning signal. This gives the output infinite adjustability between 0 and
100% rather than limited to the two-state 0 and 100% values of the automatic
mode. In manual the output can be adjusted to any value needed to maintain
the process at the set-point.

When the controller is set up for manual reset, manual reset values entered
while in auto or manual take effect when the controller is switched from
manual to auto.

Manual Operation with Remote or Multiple Set-Points

When the controller is in manual mode with remote or multiple set-points
enabled in the SETPTS MENU, the front face will resemble the examples
below:

Note: Remote set-point requires the option board be installed.

[MAN] indicates that the controller is in
manual mode.

The set-point may be [LOC], [LO2],
[LO3], [LO4] or [REM], depending on
which set-points were enabled in the
SETPTS MENU.

Bottom status display indicates lower
engineering display is showing the
current set-point and its engineering
units label.
