The DMS 7 Interface

DMS 7 uses the Microsoft Access 2007 runtime. The application has
adopted the changes found in Microsoft Office 2007.

The DMS Actions Menu found in previous DMS versions is no longer part
of the User Interface.

The menu bar has been replaced by a Command Tab structure; the menu
options have been replaced by options found in the Command Tab Rib-
bon
. The example below shows the Command Tabs along the top; they
include: Manage, Local Site Settings, Reports, Import, Tools, Portable
and Help.

In the example below, the Manage tab is selected, showing Manage tab
options in the Manage tab ribbon.

When you select a Command Tab, a ribbon appears underneath the Com-
mand Tab
. Along the ribbon, options related to the tab appear. Each set of
grouped options contains selections that open application forms as
Tabbed windows in the Work Area of the screen. If you don’t want the
full ribbon always displayed, click the Customize Quick Access Toolbar
button to the right of the Office button to minimize the ribbon. When you
minimize the ribbon, it only appears when you select a Command tab.
