Before importing the inventory data into a Check In-Out system, exit the
Check In-Out environment and enter the Access environment. Open the
Check In-Out system with the full version of Microsoft Access. Use the
Navigation Pane to reach the Access objects such as tables, queries, forms,
and reports.

Import Access Inventory Data

The first step in building the new Check In-Out system is to import the
existing inventory data. The existing inventory data is usually contained in
a single file, such as an Excel file. IntelliTrack’s Check In-Out database is
relational, and stores inventory information in several related tables.

1.

From the External Data tab, select Import > and then select your
Import File Type from the ribbon options.

2.

The Get External Data dialog appears. Click the Browse button at the
end of the File Name field.

3.

The File Open window appears. Browse to the import file location and
select it.
