Stock Issue
Use Stock Issue to dispense consumable items to individuals, jobs or
departments. IntelliTrack Check In-Out decreases the on-hand quantity in
the location from which the item was issued. Unlike Receipts, you cannot
issue an item that is not in stock.
If you issue an item that is not in the location pull-down list, Check In-Out
adds the item definition to that location and enters a negative quantity. This
allows you to issue an item even if an insufficient quantity appears in the
Check In-Out system, but the physical item does exist in stock. Check In-
Out flags the transaction with a negative quantity to generate a Negative
Quantity Report and locate this sort of transaction.
If you issue more of an item than the system currently shows in-stock at a
particular location, Check In-Out allows the issue, but forces a negative
quantity as described above.
Perform
Issues Use Check In-Out’s Issues function to issue or dispense items. To issue a
consumable item, the item number must already exist, although sufficient
quantity or location/site assignments are not required. You can issue items
that are physically present even if sufficient quantities do not exist in the
Check In-Out database.
1. To open the Stock Issue form, select Manage Command Tab > Stock
Command Set > Issues option from the ribbon.
2. The Stock Issue form appears.
