1.

Select Tools Command Tab > Setup Command Set > Setup.

When the setup form appears, select the Options button.

The Options portion of the form appears to the front.

Make sure the Security Enabled check box is marked. (This means
that security is activated for your system.)

5.

Select the Close button to close the form and enable security. Users
have the access rights based upon the security privilege level for the
user access level.

Assigning Security Privileges to System Areas

Security privilege access levels range from one to nine. The security levels
you assign to system privileges are hierarchical.

Level 1 grants full administrator access. It is the highest access level.

The lowest possible access level is Level 9.

When using access levels 1 through 9, to make your lowest access level
a “read-only” level, assign all security privileges a level 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3,
2, or 1. That way, a user assigned to Level 9 would not have access to
any system privileges. (All users, even those with security access levels
outside the range of any system privileges can run reports, query the
