lacp active/passive

This command configures active or passive LACP initiation mode. Use the no form
to restore the default setting.

Syntax

lacp {actor | partner} {active | passive}
no lacp {actor | partner}

actor - The local side of an aggregate link.
partner - The remote side of an aggregate link.
active - Enables active initiation of LACP negotiation on a port, automatically

sending LACP negotiation packets.

passive - Enables passive initiation of LACP negotiation on a port, which

starts negotiations only if an LACP device is detected at the other end of the
link.

Command Usage

Regardless of the LACP initiation mode, if the target switch has also enabled
LACP on the connected ports and negotiations are successfully completed,
the trunk will be activated automatically.

Example

show lacp

This command displays LACP information.

Syntax

show lacp [port-channel] {counters | internal | neighbors | sysid}

port-channel - Local identifier for a link aggregation group. (Range: 1-8)
counters - Statistics for LACP protocol messages.
internal - Configuration settings and operational state for local side.
neighbors - Configuration settings and operational state for remote side.
sysid - Summary of system priority and MAC address for all channel groups.
