Run: This option is valid for files with file code 101 (text files). Opens a sub menu that displays operations that can
be taken on a macro file. The operations are Now, Open Dialog, Add To Library. For more details see

Macro Library

.

Open: This option is valid for files with file code 101 (text files). It transfers the file’s content to a browser-based
editor on your PC. You may edit this file and save it on the server to the same or a different location.

Download: Prompts you with a download dialog box and allows you to download the file to the pc. Both ASCII and
binary format files are supported.

Duplicate: Prompts you with a dialog box where you can enter the volume/subvolume/file name where you want
this file to be duplicated to. Its alternate key files or other partitions, if any, are not affected. Current volume and
subvolume where the file is located are used as default.

Move: Prompts you with a dialog box where you can enter the volume/subvolume/file name where you want this
file to be moved to. This deletes the file from its current location and moves it to the target location. Only this file
is moved. Its alternate key files or other partitions, if any, are not affected. Current volume and subvolume where
the file is located are used as default.

Rename: Prompts you to change the file name (volume & sub-volume names remain the same).

Alter: Prompts you with the option to alter file code, owner, file security, and maximum extents. You may alter
multiple attributes at once.

Delete: Upon your confirmation, purges the file.

There is a check box located to the left of each file name. You may check this box for a file to select it. You can use
the same method for other files or use shift-click to select multiple files. Two icons appear on the toolbar, when
one or more files are selected. Following is the description of how these two icons operate:

Obey: This obeys the selected files on the server and displays the results in new Window(s). The method used

differs based on whether there is one or multiple files selected:
One file: Selected file is obeyed, and the result along with start/stop timestamps and execution duration is
displayed in a new Window.
Multiple files: Displays the list of selected files in a new Window. You are then given the option to change your
selection, and choose whether the files should be obeyed in a sequential or parallel format.

Sequential: This method, obeys the first file first, before the request to obey the second one is issued (in the

order displayed). This method is used for all files on the list. The result is also displayed in a single Window for
all files. The start/stop timestamp and duration however is calculated and displayed independently for each
file.

Parallel: Request is sent to obey all files in parallel, without regard to the state of execution for any single file.

The result for each Obey file is displayed separately in a new Window, along with its own start/stop timestamp
and execution duration information.

Delete File:Upon your confirmation, selected files will be deleted on the server (based on your

UserID/authorization), and the displayed file list will be adjusted to remove the deleted files.

Following icons are used for miscellaneous operations. These icons appear on the toolbar when a list is displayed.
