2.7.8 FOR WVPLITE OBJECT

The WVPLITE object allows an user to access the Events Live, Query and Token Analyzer features without having to
logon to the main Web ViewPoint product. Starting from AAS-AAT release this feature will have an optional logon
requirement. The administrator can set up the logon requirement by setting the LITEAUTH param to ON.

PARAM LITEAUTH [ON|OFF]

[LITECONF]

This is used if the lite feature should enforce a logon requirement. If set to ON then logon is required, if set
toOFF or omitted, then user can access features without logging on (Default: OFF)

PARAM FASTRESUME [YES|NO]

[LITECONF]

This param controls the behavior of the Lite Events Live screen when Pause/Resume feature is used. The
default setting is NO (i.e. will refresh to current time on Resume). Setting value to YES will cause the events to
continue on Resume from the pause point (i.e. without refreshing the screen, which is like regular WVP Events
Live). Please note that setting the value to YES on Lite does cause additional overhead because the events are
queued while waiting for the Resume action.

PARAM COLLECTOR <processname (e.g. $COLW)>

[LITECONF]

This optional param provides a way to route all events generated from a particular Web ViewPoint instance to
a particular EMS Collector. Without this param all events generated by WVP lite are routed to the default $0
Collector.

PARAM HIDEACKS [YES|NO]

[LITECONF]

This tells the Lite Live and Query displays whether to hide acknowledged events or whether to show them as
acknowledged.

PARAM EMSLINK-BUSY-MAX <number>

[LITECONF]

This specifies in terms of percentage the limit to which the CPU would be used. Thus if EMSLINK-BUSY-MAX is
set at 60, then 60% of the CPU is allocated for processing the events. If this param is not specified, the system
decides the amount of CPU to be utilized. If this param is set to 0, the CPU limit is turned off.

PARAM SAVEEVENTS [YES|NO]

[LITECONF]

This tells the Lite Live and Query displays whether to show the “Save Events to Log” check box on the settings
screens. If SAVEEVENTS is NO, the “Save Events to Log” feature is disabled and the check box does not appear.
The default value is YES.

PARAM WFDISTPRI <nnn>

[LITECONF]

Lite Events function starts a process of FDIST. This value specifies what priority to start this process at. The
default priority is Lite process priority.

PARAM WLOGCOLL <$proc>

[LITECONF]

This tells the Lite Events function the process name with which to start the alternate collector that is needed
to save events. The default alternate collector is $ALOG.

PARAM EVENTCX-LOCATION <$volume.subvolume >

[LITECONF]

This tells the Lite Live and Query displays, the location of the Event Configuration file that contains the color
mappings for different event types and pass-values.

PARAM JAPANESESUPPORT [YES|NO]

[LITECONF]

This specifies whether the Japanese character support is required for displaying of EMS messages in Events
Live and Query. If this param is not specified, the default value is NO.

PARAM MAXEVENTS <number>

[LITECONF]
