Subsystem feature of Admin. On selecting an owner, the subsystem box gets populated with the corresponding
subsystems. The * in the subsystem/Events box indicates ‘all subsystems‘& ‘all events’.

After choosing the owner and subsystem and entering an event number, the user needs to click submit to add it.
The suppressed details get added to a key-sequenced file which is stored in the same subvolume as Web
ViewPoint of the logged-in resident.

For example:

If the user wants to suppress all EMS messages from the NonStop Tandem owned subsystem AM3270. Choose
TANDEM from the owner dropdown, AM3270 from the Subsystem dropdown and enter ‘*’ in the event # text
field. (User can also specify event number in the event number text field)

In case of suppressing EMS messages from an application subsystem such as TestSubsys owned by an application
owner, TestOwner. Assume that you have already entered the TestOwner and TestSubsys through the Owner-
Subsystem feature of Admin. It therefore populates the owner & subsystem lists in the ‘Add suppression’ page.

Select TestOwner from the ‘Owner’ dropdown and TestSubsys from the Subsystem dropdown and enter any event
number or * and click on submit. These owner-subsystem-event # details get added to the key-sequenced file.

DISPLAY TEMPLATE:
Display Templates are used to customize the display of EMS messages. A Display Template contains tokens and the
width which each token will occupy on the screen.
This Admin feature helps to create a Display Template. To create a new Display Template click ‘Add Template’. It
displays a pop up window as below:

The left listbox is dynamically populated with the tokens from the last EMS message (from $0 of the logged-in
resident). The right listbox displays all the selected tokens. On selecting a token on the left listbox and clicking add
gets it added to the right listbox.

The order of the tokens in the right listbox can be changed by selecting them and clicking the “Move Up” or “Move
Down” button. The user can also delete a selected token(s) by selecting it/them and clicking the Remove button.

The width of the tokens can be set by clicking the “Preview” button and the ‘Set Column Width’ button. A new
Window comes up which displays the selected tokens and their corresponding widths. The user can change the
width. The width can be between 10 px and 5120 px. On clicking ‘Preview’ the user can see each selected token
according to their order and width.
