used for these pages and the 'Display configuration' page will be shown. If you want to fine-tune the standard
default values, you may click 'Next' to go to the Port number configuration page.

Port number configuration: This page defines port numbers for various Web ViewPoint processes. A process’ port
number is a positive integer from 1001 to 65535. This page also contains a 'Finish' button. If you click this button,
the next two pages will be skipped; system default values will be used for these pages and the 'Display
configuration' page will be shown. If you want to fine-tune the standard default values, you may click 'Advanced' to
go the Web ViewPoint parameter settings page.

Web ViewPoint parameter: This page contains the mandatory Web ViewPoint parameters. There are three input
text fields and three check boxes:
Fast Distribution Priority: Process priority of the Fast Distribution program (i.e. FDIST). This is a positive

number from 1 to 199

Log Collector: Name of the log collector process. This is a standard process name in NonStop server.

Maximum length is 6 ASCII characters

Hide acknowledgement event: Whether to hide/show acknowledged events in the event list
Show 'Save events to Log’: Whether to show this option in Web ViewPoint
Instant messaging feature: Whether to enable/disable instant messaging feature for Web ViewPoint
Instant messaging refresh rate: If the instant messaging feature is enabled, refresh rate can be specified.

Refresh rate is an integer from 10000 to 300000. It is measured in milliseconds

Install with Web ViewPointLite Plus: If enabled, Web ViewPoint Lite will require a user name and password

for use. The 'Finish' button in this page will skip Object Manager settings and 'Display configuration' page will
be shown


Object ManagerConfiguration: This page defines Object Manager parameters. There are three input fields:
Shared environment name: Shared environment process name for Object Manager. This is a standard process

name starting with '$' and the maximum length is 4 ASCII characters

Alternate collector: Alternate collector process name for Object Manager. This is also a standard process

name with a maximum length of 6 ASCII characters

Timeout: Timeout in seconds for Object Manager. The range is 1 to 300 seconds. This page is the last page for

setting configuration. You can always click 'Prev' to revisit previous pages and change settings


Display configuration:
This page gives you a snapshot of the overall configuration selected for installation. You will
not be able to modify any of the parameters in this page. If you want to do so, please click 'Prev' to go back to the
respective page and then change current value. This page is the last page before the actual installation begins. The
'Apply' button in this page actually starts resident-by-resident installation using the configuration selected so far. If
you click 'Apply', it will ask for confirmation before beginning file transfer.

Upload configuration:
This page is responsible for:
Uploading Web ViewPoint configuration files
Uploading other binary and ASCII installation files
Running scripts to make/import data files
StartingWeb ViewPoint

For each resident, the Wizard takes the following actions in sequence:

logon information for current resident
Specify user-name and password
Specify ftp-port, telnet-port and TACL service name
Specify destination $volume.subvolume (and if required, backup volume)
In case of multi-resident installation, user may choose to use same information for other residents
User may choose the SSH/SFTP option for installation, by selecting “Activate Secure Service” checkbox
