Defining the operating mode with CCON

Operating mode

Description

Record select operating mode
ć Record select mode
(OPM1 = 0; OPM2 = 0)

The PLC selects a record from a record list stored in the CMAX.
A record contains all the parameters which are specified for a posiĆ
tioning job. The record number is transferred to the cyclical I/O data
as the setpoint or actual value.

Direct operating mode
ć Direct mode
(OPM1 = 1; OPM2 = 0)

The positioning job is transferred directly into the cyclical I/O data.
The most important setpoint values (position, speed, force) are
transferred here. Supplementary parameters (e.g. acceleration) are
defined via parameterisation.

Commissioning operating
mode
(OPM1 = 0; OPM2 = 1)

Commissioning functions (e.g. identification) can be executed and
parameters read or written. Positioning jobs are not possible.

Parametrising operating
mode
(OPM1 = 1; OPM2 = 1)

A parameter is transferred into the I/O data according to the FPC
protocol. Positioning jobs are not possible.

All the statuses which must be available in all operating
modes are controlled with control byte 1 (CCON).
